SELF IDENTIFICATION QUESTIONNAIRE

SIQ's allow organizations to determine the representation in their workforce of designated groups. They help the employer to address issues of importance to their employees (i.e. race relations training, sexual harassment, accessibility, or workplace modifications for employees with disabilities). They also provide an avenue for tracking statistics as required by law by either the Federal Contractors' Program or the Employment Equity Act.

EMPLOYMENT EQUITY COMMUNICATION TOOL

One of the most important components of an Employment Equity program is communication. Although many people feel that they have an understanding of the process, there are often pre-conceived notions and ideas that many people have about Employment Equity which are in fact incorrect. The purpose of this assignment is to develop the ability to be able to reach as many people in an organization as possible with a clear, concise, positive, and proactive message about equal opportunity.
